Hi Dr Gonzalez,
Just a quick note to let you know I visited my optometrist
yesterday. From observing my retinas she confirmed I have
peripheral improvement. She said that there is less pigmentation
and a lighter colour in these areas. She is able to compare to an
examination she coincidentally did on my retinas before I came to
Mexico. As you might remember it was my extreme peripheral field
of vision that I experienced improvement in. I feel this is
progressing inwards as the swirls I see light through are becoming
motley or less dense if that makes sense. I still do not see
anything more than light and dark from my macular but in a small area
to the outer right in this area I am seeing more light. I also
have black dots across my eyes at times. I believe this is
associated with the implant.
Did I say I would be quick?
I am hoping to come back to Mexico June next year.

At this point I have now visited Dr. Gonzales' clinic in Nuevo Progreso
four times. Initially my vision was diminished to the point where i was
not comfortable in some low light situations, I had trouble driving at
night and in the rain. since starting my visits my visiion has improved
to the point where i am more comfortable and i feel that my vision
continues to improve with each visit.
